Burnby Hall Gardens. Wonderfully maintained gardens and lake. Go to the gardens and explore Pocklington it's a wonderful bit, kinda like all the best bits of York, Rochester (Kent), Canterbury and St Albans rolled into one. Ps....check out the Hall also.

Fabulous day spent at the gardens, looking at the snowdrops, also there was a very informal talk prior to a guided tour along the birch walk. I would definitely recommend this if you are interested in winter gardening Thank you

Small but perfectly formed. Something to see every season especially in the rock gardens. Great value as an annual pass. Tasty cakes and very hot coffee in the cafe.

One of our favourite Places to visit in the area. big plus is no dogs allowed, despite the moaners with dogs beliefs not everybody likes dogs and its nice to have a place that caters for people who dont. kids love feeding the fish, nice little cafe- and playground. Especially nice on a summers day with a picnic.

Stunning in all seasons, lots for toddlers to see and do, looking at the birds and doves, playing in the playground, looking at wood carvings in the stumpery and admiring all the different plants and textures in the rock garden. Particularly enjoyed seeing all the beautiful patterns in the ice and ducks skidding on the frozen lake in the cold weather

Went to the illuminations and it was not worth the money. Just lights in trees. Spend nearly the same money and go to Yorkshire Wildlife Park and see their actual illuminations. £18 a ticket? no thanks!!!

Visited the xmas lights. £18, expensive for basically a bunch of uplit trees.

Wonderful peaceful place to enjoy the gardens, the lilies, the fish and much more. The cafe was lovely with all the staff smiling and helpful. A good day out for all ages. Lots of children, but no screaming, no shouting, just happy faces.

Haven’t been during the day, But visited during the illuminations event for Christmas not going to post too many pictures as don’t want to ruin it for anyone visiting for this event. Had a fantastic time and so did the kids! Everything you need on site and a cute little gift shop too. Will definitely be returning during the day to see all this place has to offer.

Visited the Illuminate event in the rain. Lots of work has gone into this and some lovely lighting. The cafe/tent had some lovely food and hot drinks.

Shortsighted and outdated decision not to allow visitors with dogs. Most halls and gardens, plus other attractions in the area, allow dogs on leads. Dog owners avoid this venue and enjoy a day out elsewhere.
